Vermont State Programs 2011-2012

CEDO, We All Belong AmeriCorps

Burlington Vermont's Center for Community and Neighborhoods (CCAN) in partnership with the Burlington School District and other community partners launched the AmeriCorps We All Belong Initiative with the goal to create a more welcoming and inclusive community by removing barriers that perpetuate socio-economic inequity. It is an education, outreach, and community engagement initiative that engages diverse populations in the school community and public life. Secondly, it was also intended to build the capacity of schools and community agencies to better reflect and serve the needs of our ethnically diverse populations by hosting AmeriCorps members representing these populations.
